Darlene (Whitlow) Pickerell

Darlene Pickerell, 83, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Monday, April 1st, surrounded by her family at her home. 

Darlene was born in Metcalfe County, KY on October 2, 1940, a daughter of the late Hattie (Vibbert) and Bedford "Jack Dempsey"  Whitlow.

She married Harold Pickerell on July 26, 1958 and he preceded her in death on March 12, 1996.

Darlene worked at various garment factories throughout her life. 

She is survived by a daughter, Pamela (Rodney Carter), of Tompkinsville;  granddaughter, Miranda Isenberg and great granddaughter, Addison Williams, both of Mt. Hermon, KY.

Darlene is also survived by a sister, Azel Whitlow, of Mt. Herman, KY and two brothers, Carson Whitlow and Paul Whitlow, both of Mt. Herman, KY; and her two bonus sisters, Robin Beard and Ruby Burton, and special long time friend, Donald Emberton. 

Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Lou Ann Bryant and Patsy Sue Davis.

Private family services will be held.
