Carlene Delane Miles

Carlene Delane Miles, 62, of  Tompkinsville, KY, passed away Thursday, March 28th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Carlene was born in Tompkinsville, KY on August 11, 1961, a daughter of Darlene (Miles) Emmert and the late George Carl Miles and George Robert Emmert.

Carlene had a servants heart for the Lord. She taught children Sunday School and was a member of Monroe Baptist Church. She truly enjoyed doing for others. Carlene played the piano, enjoyed music, working with flowers outside and being "Granny Carlene" to her grandchildren. 

Carlene is survived by a daughter, Erin Hestand, and husband, T.J., and a son, Miles Gearlds, of Tompkinsville, KY; her mother, Darlene Emmert; five grandchildren, Hunter and Emily Page, Emberlee Gearlds, Brooks Gearlds, and Kenleigh Hestand.

Carlene is also survived by three sisters, Cathy Comer, and husband, Jerry, of Gamaliel, KY;  Georgetta Pedigo, and husband, Joel, of Tompkinsville, KY ;  Laura Bowe, and husband, Michael, of Tompkinsville, KY and three brothers, Joey Emmert, and wife, Teresa, of Tompkinsville, KY;  Brett Miles, and wife, Leslie, of Almo, KY and Bradley Emmert, of Tompkinsville, KY;  several nieces and nephews and her bonus grandchildren, Wren Turner and Huxley Hoy.

Other than her fathers, George Carl Miles and George Robert Emmert, she is preceded in death by a brother, Steve Emmert and grandparents, Loy and Annie White and Frank and Olene Miles. 

Funeral services  will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY, with burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Michael Bowe, Bro. Darrick Proffitt and Bro. Brett Miles will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 and Saturday after 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
