About Us

John Edd and Nelda Yokley established the John Edd Yokley Funeral Home on 4th Street in 1952. In 1982, Greg and Jane Trible joined her mother, Nelda Yokley, as partners in the funeral home business, changing the name to Yokley Trible Funeral Home. This made Jane Trible the fifth generation of the Yokley family to become a funeral director. Greg and Jane’s daughter, Sara Lain (Trible) Hagan came into the business in 2012, and has since obtained her Funeral Director and Embalming license, making her the sixth generation funeral director. The plan is for Sara Lain to carry on the family tradition. On April 30, 2011, Nelda Yokley passed away. As much as we miss Nelda in “her chair” and her sincerity and knowledge of the business, we feel that we are still making her proud with our family legacy and business.

Since 2017, we have updated our funeral home immensely. As we are preparing the future, we also are holding on to the traditions that works so well for our families that we serve.

We still have the horse drawn hearse that was used four generations ago by John Wesley, Jane's great-great grandfather, during the late 1800's and the early 1900's. This has become a treasured family heirloom.
