Kenneth Rowland, 85, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Tuesday, May 31st, at his home.

Kenneth was born in Flippin, KY on November 12, 1930, a son of the late Anna (Downing) and Ellis Rowland.

Kenneth was a faithful member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church for 56 years, where he served as a deacon for 37 years. He was the manager of the National Store in Tompkinsville. He served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korea War.

Kenneth was married to Alma (Maxey) Rowland in 1951, who precedes him in death.

Kenneth is survived by three sons and daughter-in-laws, Chan and Beth Rowland, of Mankin-Sabot, Virginia; Gary and Brenda Rowland, and Larry and Donna Rowland, both of Tompkinsville, KY; four grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Chad Smith, Bart and his wife, Jerri Rowland, Jamie and his wife, Denise Rowland and Christina and her husband, David Greyer, 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Kenneth is also survived by a sister, Nita Hammer, of Summer Shade, KY. And a special friend, Sharon Emmert of Tompkinsville, KY.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Rowland, parents, Anna and Ellis Rowland, and a son, Barry Rowland.

Funeral services will be held at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 3rd, 2016.

Visitation is Thursday after 4:00 P.M. and Friday 6:00 -11:00 A.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.

Burial is in Monroe County Memorial Lawn with military services preformed by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20
